site is dedicated to the Koble/Coble families stemming from Lancaster County. Mainly those families descended from Elias Kobele/Koble from Germany. Elias Kobele immigrated from Germany to Lancaster County in 1818, via Philadelphia. He came under contract, with permission of his father, to work and live with Benjamin Bear, a farmer Conestoga Twp., Lancaster County for the term of 3 years and 6 months, with at least 6 weeks schooling.1 A Matthias Kobele, possibly a brother, immigrated to Philadelphia under the same terms at the same time. Research is currently be done to

Between the years of 1840 and 1850 they resided in Martic Township of Lancaster County at the time of his death in 1865 Elias was living in Providence Township. Elias and Theressa had the following children.
